Setting the New Standard
Our owner and head cook, Melvin Smith has been cooking since he was a child. His parents were his biggest inspiration both being cooks themselves. His love for feeding his family flavorful comfort food gives soul to anything his hands prepare. Working full time and raising a family never gave him a chance to set out on his dream of starting a catering company. When COVID hit, his opportunity to start his business was realized. During the furlough from his job STC Catering was birthed. STC is a family, black-owned and operated business. Being a vegetarian himself, he enjoys making food with or without meat to make your taste buds sing praises. His hope is that anyone can come in and find something on the menu to make them repeat customers. His upbeat, friendly, family centered personality gives the business its homey relaxed environment. His favorite saying is "this food is so good, it makes you wanna smack that cook!!!!!".
